Patchwork Meadow Exhibitions

Current UK Exhibitions:

Preparations are being made to exhibit 14 panels of the Patchwork Meadow at the Eden Project and we will post the exhibition dates as soon as these are available. The exhibition will run until the end of September 2015.

We are also completing an application to tour the Patchwork Meadow in England during late 2015 and 2016. We will post information about this as soon as we have any confirmed details.

Past UK Exhibitions

The Patchwork Meadow Exhibition will open at the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens on Saturday 20th December and will run until at least the 11th January. The Gardens are open 10 until 5 daily. The Gardens will close early at 3pm on Christmas Eve, Wednesday 24th and will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Two panels of the Commonwealth Flowers Exhibition are currently on display at Strathearn Community Library in Crieff. The last square of the project – the Mulanje Cedar of Malawi – was submitted by Elspeth Coutts of the Perthshire Organic Gardeners Group on Friday 12th December. There are 98 squares celebrating 75 Commonwealth Countries and British Overseas Territories on display. They were contributed by individuals and groups in Glasgow and Perthshire. The youngest participant was 6 years old and the older 96 years old.

The Commonwealth Flowers and Patchwork Meadow Exhibition was at the Fair Maid’s House in Perth (Royal Scottish Geographical Society) from the 17th September until the 24th of October 2014. The exhibition has been open to a limited extent from the 26th of August but unforeseen building work has delayed the full opening until the 17th of September. The Fair Maid’s House is open 12.30 until 4 from Tuesday to Saturday. The Fair Maid’s House is staffed by volunteers – it you are making a special journey it is advisable to call first (01738 455050).

23rd of July until (newly extended date 20th August) – 5 Panels of the Patchwork Meadow and one large panel of Commonwealth National Plants are on display at the Boiler House of the Hidden Gardens (25A Albert Drive, Glasgow, G41 2PE). In addition there are 3 outdoor panels in the garden itself

An exhibition of four panels of the Patchwork Meadow is now open at the Museum in the Park, Stroud (GL5 4AF). The exhibition runs from the 27th of July until the 20th of August. The exhibition is open Tuesday to Friday 10 until 5, and Saturday and Sunday 11 until 5.

5th June to 10th of July 2014 (Macphail Centre Ullapool)
Over 600 squares of the UK Patchwork Meadow are currently on display at the Macphail Centre (5 Mill Street) Ullapool along with 100 squares from Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania and Slovenia and a panel of Commonwealth squares created by Madderty Primary Perthshire. The exhibition is free and is open Monday to Friday 9 to 5.

The exhibition will be open during the Queen’s Baton Relay in Ullapool on Wednesday 9th of July.

William Morris Society (26 Upper Mall, Hammersmith, London). Kelscott House is open to the public Thursday to Saturdays (14:00 to 17:00) and at other times by appointment. Salisbury Arts Centre. (Opening Hours Tuesday to Sunday 10am to 3pm)
The Arts Centre will try and accommodate as many of the squares as we can provide.
