Latest News from Wildflower Europe & the Commonwealth Games Project
4 new reports for the Wildflower Europe project are available to download from our Resources Page . ‘Wildflower Europe – the people who made it happen’ is a publication celebrating the stories of a small selection of the many thousands of people who took part across Europe. The Community History Archive report demonstrates the principles behind developing community driven archiving projects and examples from pilot work in Croatia, Romania and Slovenia. There are also 3 beautifully illustration reports from the partners – the UK Patchwork Meadow publication, the Romanian ‘Flowers in the Pot’ publication and the Slovenian ‘Flowers in Bohinj’ publication.
The UK Patchwork Meadow Project, the Commonwealth Flowers Project and 100 squares from Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania and Slovenia are now on display at the Fair Maid’s House (Royal Scottish Geographical Society) in Perth. The exhibition is installed but the opening has been delayed slightly due to unforeseen building works. It will be back on track and open Tuesday to Saturdays from the 17th September until the 24th October 2014.
FREE ADMISSION to the exhibition. The Fair Maid’s House is part of the Royal Scottish Geographical Society Building in Perth (15-19 North Port, PH1 5LU) just behind the Horse Cross Theatre.
Opening hours: Tuesday to Saturday (12.30 to 4) The building is staff by volunteers so it is worth gving a quick call beforehand if you are making a long journey (01738 455050)
