11 panels of the Patchwork Meadow Project are now on display at the Macphail Centre in Ullapool with a further 100 squares from Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania and Slovenia. There is also a panel created by Madderty Primary School in Perthshire celebrating the national flowers of Commonwealth countries.
The exhibition is in the Macphail Centre corridor next to the library. The exhibition is free and is open Monday to Friday 9 until 5 and will run until the 10th of July. The exhibition will be open during the Queen’s Baton Relay which arrives in Ullapool on the 9th of July.
If you are visiting the exhibition during the first two weeks of June the Wild North Festival is also taking part in Caithness and Sutherland.
Plantlife would like to thank everyone who took part locally with special thanks to Fran and Christine at the Maphail Centre for all their hard work to install the exhibition. Thank you to everyone who turned out in the rain for the launch afternoon. Thanks also to Helen Lockhart for her lovely photographs of the exhibition. You can read Helen’s impression of the exhibition at her blog.
If you are able to visit we would love to hear what you think if you are able to leave a comment in the visitors book.
